When you try to set up your LocTag, you may get a strange alert that prompts you to upgrade your account security.

If you finish connecting to iCloud, you have to restart your iPhone and then click Upgrade Account Security to set up your LocTag.

Q3. Can I share it with others?

If the system is up to iOS 17 and can share up to 5 users. It can only be shared between users who are tied to iCloud.

Q8. Is the detection range of the tag from Apple device limited?

The Bluetooth scanning range of Apple devices is generally between 10 - 20 meters.

Q9. Does the Apple device receive any notification if it is in proximity to the tag?

This depends on the specific situation:

If the tag is within the Bluetooth scanning range of your bound Apple device, you will not receive a notification.
If the tag moves away from the Bluetooth scanning range of your bound Apple device, you will be notified the next time the Bluetooth scans.
If your Apple device scans a tag paired by another person, you will be notified.

Q10. How is the privacy of the tags and Apple ID protected?

The location information of the tags is stored on Apple's servers. For private information, please refer to the Apple website. It has nothing to do with the tag brand or manufacturer.

Q11. How many devices can be monitored through a single Apple Find My application? Does the number depend on Apple ID and cloud storage size?

Currently, there are in total 32 items that can be bound, including Apple's official AirTag and other MFi-certified tags.

Q12. How long can the tracking record be stored?

In the current version, since the Apple's built-in Find My App is used, no tracking records will be displayed, only the most recent location data will be shown.

Q13. In large-scale use, how is tracking and report management possible?

In the current version, Apple does not provide tracking data and reports since the Apple's built-in Find My App is used.

Q14. Does your device provide the direction of the tag in close proximity?

No, it does not. Within the range, you can find it by triggering the buzzer.

Q15. What is the frequency of data that the tag provides to the "Find My" app?

Find My is an Apple app, and we cannot know the scanning frequency of this software.
